Timeline’s History & Plans Moving Forward

BACKGROUND

Timeline began as a small tool used internally in my own web agency work. After enough projects, professionals beyond my colleagues came around wanting to try it out. They continue using Timeline to this day and have helped shape where it’s at today. I am eternally grateful for all these early spokespersons of Timeline.

“Timeline” actually got its name from its first form, a timeline of “events”, resembling the different stages or revisions of your projects. As with most products, it has evolved to better fit the needs of its users.

Here are Timeline’s evolutionary stages thus far:

1. Feedback for sites only, in “Timeline” form

2. Feedback for sites AND graphics, in “Timeline” form

3. Feedback for sites and graphics organized like your cloud storage files, to have all project assets in one place.

4. The future – You decide!

MOVING FORWARD

We are opening Timeline’s beta next week (beginning February 12, 2018). If you’ve subscribed for beta notifications on Product Hunt, I’ll personally send you an invite next week.

In the meantime, if you have any friends or colleagues that could benefit from the use of Timeline, please send them our way. Let us know who you send and we’ll apply a credit to your account for future use.

During the beta, we would love to hear/read every single piece of feedback you have. Whether you think a UI redesign would be nice (we do too), a feature could be overhauled, or we’re just completely wrong on something, PLEASE let us know.

I look forward to continuing this journey with you, with a resulting tool benefiting you as much as it has me, if not more, as that would be the ultimate prize!
